That is, movement for pleasure.

I believe movement/exercise can be fun, comfortable, part of your daily life, stress relieving and rejuvenating (it can even include rest!).

In fact, this is how we create a sustainable (and life-enhancing) movement practice.  Fear- or guilt-based movement just isn’t sustainable!

Instead, I invite you to bring the focus onto how movement makes you feel.  For me, the most sustainable and feel-good (more like amazing!) practice I’ve found is yoga.  My yoga practice has given me the space to move my body with love rather than fear or guilt.  Each movement is a celebration, a living prayer, a praise to where my body is at today.

I understand that yoga won’t be for everyone, but if you are curious- stay a while and explore!  This is a weight inclusive space- meaning we accept and respect the diversity of all body shapes and sizes.  I encourage
movement as a way to create deeper attunement and connection to the body.  In this way, we move the focus from movement for weight-loss to movement for well-being and body respect.

I Believe Yoga Is...

  • NOT about forcing your body into odd looking poses and standing on your head. (In fact, physical practice- known as ‘asana’- is only one small part of yoga.  And the intention of asana or body posture is never force or pain!)
  • NOT only for “flexible people.” (I never did stick with dance or gymnastics as a kid)
  • NOT only for white women. (Historically, yoga was practiced mainly by men, in India)
  • NOT only accessible to thin or fit body types. (Want to join me in #breakingthestereotype?)
  • NOT a space where a yoga teacher gets to tell you how to move, act, think, look, or live.  (Our role is to guide, suggest, and teach.  Your role is to ask questions, discern what feels right for you, take what you like and leave the rest! #youdoyou)

Truly Yoga Is...

  • For ALL people. Meaning it is for all bodies. The doors are open to people regardless of size, age, ability, race, gender, sexuality, etc

  • A heart-based practice of non-judgement, compassion, and unity.

  • Widely encompassing… Meditation, movement, breathing, extending compassion, mindfully washing your dishes, using a mantra, being kind? You’re practicing yoga!

  • A safe space where there is no “right or wrong”... You can choose to follow the guidance of a teacher, or play with other movements that may feel better for your body.

  • A way of life. On our mat, we practice monitoring the mind and choosing our thoughts, so off the mat we can consciously respond versus reacting. We practice holding space for our emotions, so they feel less scary when we feel big emotions in our day to day lives. We practice self-kindness, body awareness, and meeting our body where it’s at.

For me, Yoga has been...

A place for me to heal- mentally, emotionally, and physically.  It has been a space for me to move my body in a way I enjoy.

I hope to open the door for you to find healing through yoga as well. I would love to meet you on the mat.

One-on-one Sessions

Interested in a private yoga class?  Yoga truly is a healing modality.  I offer private, online yoga sessions so you can experience and discover yoga from the comfort of your home!


This would be ideal for someone who…

  • Is interested in starting a yoga practice but may be nervous about attending a studio (I’ve been there!!)
  • Is working with an injury, new health diagnosis, or chronic pain and is seeking support
  • Does not have a body positive yoga studio near them
  • Has had an unpleasant experience in the yoga community (judgement, shame, injury, unwanted hands-on, etc)- let’s do some repair work together!
  • Is under stress and wants to treat themselves to a personalized yoga session- designed to be healing, grounding, and relaxing
